Well I'm not going to lie...Chris and I had been putting off our mandatory Baptism class for a while and we realized that with only one class left before her scheduled Baptism we couldn't put it off much longer! Court and Jake babysat Abby because they asked that babies not attend to let everyone pay attention and we really got a lot out of the class...the biggest take home message for me was the deacon's response to "why do Catholics baptize babies?" he says..."Why not?" Why deprive our children of the graces that come from the beautiful sacrament. Why as parents should we not declare in front of the church that we with the Godparents are committed to raising our child with Christian values and bringing them to Jesus no matter what sacrifices that may involve. I was so excited to bring Abby to the church to be baptized by the same priest- Father Tom- that married us. It was so beautiful to see that one sacrament, our marriage, flowed into another sacrament, Abby's baptism.
Our amazing families all came in from out of town to be with us and celebrate...Chris and I realized how truly blessed we are to be surrounded by such support!
We had a fun reception of fajitas and cake at the house after and Abby was showered with beautiful gifts that she will treasure. I can't wait to show her pictures of the day and tell her all about it when she is old enough to understand!

cassie! I love how you have done your photos! how did you do that? it looks great! and congrats on the new baby! I know I was scared to death at first, but then realized, that God knows what he is doing, and I needed to stop trying to be a control freak! =) the kiddos will be great friends! we will be praying for yall!
