Catching up October 2015

I got to hear the author, Leila Lawler of The Little Oratory: A Beginner's Guide to Praying in the Home speak at our church. She inspired me to make a family alter in our house. My parents bought this buffet after they got married and refinished it for me. I love it. It's made our dining room a nice quiet prayer place.

Pumpkin patching with the Congers! The girls loved picking out their pumpkins and decorating them after. Too bad it felt more like summer than October ;)- oh Texas weather!

Kinsley's 4th Birthday at Torchy's Tacos! She loved sorting all her presents and being the "birthday girl". I think she changed outfits about 5 times that day.

Watching the Aggies with Mom and Dad and then surprising my Mom for her 55th birthday! She came home to a full house (the entire family!), presents and cake. She was totally shocked. It was a fun time hanging out :) Our girls made her a birthday crown and were able to set up the tripod for family shot. I'm so thankful for the life and example of my mom. Love you and Happy Birthday! I was able to use this shot for the Mechler family Christmas card.

Halloween Weekend! We planned on going to Mimi's Halloween Concert- but sadly it was rained out TWICE! Papa and Mimi decided to take the girls and do some Halloween activities and gave us a break with just Ella. They came back for trick or treating and we had a blast :) Jack O Lantern pizza and yummy cupcakes the girls made. My sweet Ella went as CinderELLA (thanks Gigi for her costume!). She stayed with me to hand out candy while the rest of the clan headed around the neighborhood. We got to visit with our neighbors and really enjoyed our selves.

Halloween at school- oh my loves they had many costumes to choose from.

Your oratory is beautiful! Mine is still a work in progress and somehow my gum and rings always end up there.
