Digital Scrapbooking!

So I've entered the world of digital scrapbooking :). I still have a few scrapbooks that I'm working on with scissors and glue but I think from now on I'm going to be using the digital world. My husband gave me a cricut for my last birthday which I still love and will use for many other things but digital scrapbooking allows me to work on a project and put it away by simply clicking save and exiting the program...my living room floor is really going to thank me for this change. The other exciting thing is that I can print multiple copies of the scrapbook if I wish...so cool! The program I use is My Memories Suite...I had another program Scrapbook Factory Deluxe that Marilyn gave me that I still use for greeting cards but it didn't allow me to export to a jpeg only a pdf...the quality for a 12x12 page to print wasn't a high enough resolution. This program also allows for png files which are specific to digital scrapbook kits. They are like a jpeg but they are transparent so they can be layered. Not all programs recognize png files and those are all the cute elements that come with digital kits like the stickers or letters you would by in a store if you were doing a non-digital scrapbook. I only write this so if you also want to venture into the digital scrapbook world you might find the program that works for you and that can also be printed. I'm going to use http://www.persnicketyprints.com/ to print my pages. Only $1.99 for a 12X12 page...I feel like I should work for all these people but I just want to throw out what I'm using so if people want to try this they don't have to reinvent the wheel :)

Here are some of the pages I'm working on...Let me give a quick explaination of the scrapbook...for our wedding Chris and I decided to make each other gifts. Well really I probably decided that :). I made him a scrapbook of our dating and engagement journey and he bought a scrapbook and came up with 99 dates we should have as a married couple to fill the scrapbook with. It was so sweet! Also funny how we both gave each other a scrapbook of sorts! So this is the first scrapbook that will be completely digital...

This is really neat. You may have to get me started on this as well.
