Today court asked me to babysit sweet Kate while she went to a baby shower at west. I was excited about the opportunity to not only hang out with my sweet niece but also see what taking care of two babies was like all by myself. I learned today that my babies will have to be very patient :) while I was feeding one the other one was waking up! It was so fun and I realized that i will be able to do it on my own but there might be some crying in our house while one child waits for a bottle, toy, or mommy to hold them. In a way I think it will be great for my kiddos to learn patience and also learn as their development allows how to do things for themselves. I also realized that today was on a full night of sleep I know that I will need help when I'm sleep derived from feeding at night. Thank God for my amazing family and friends! I'm excited for my two babies but also enjoying my time with sweet Abby right now.
It was so cute today that even though the age difference seems so big right now Kate and Abby are going to be so close. Abby had a hard time eating her cereal because she couldn't take her eyes off kate :) then when we took a picture Abby grabbed Kate's hand! Totally not planned by their mommies that was all real :) So my lesson today was patience not because the babies were bad they were wonderful but because two babies and one mommy is a 2 on 1 situation but I had 2 hands so I was good to go. Thanks court for helping me realize that I will be able to take care of two little ones (please don't burst my bubble that when baby 2 comes Abby will be crawling and maybe walking I'm choosing to forget that little crazy detail for now...ignorance is bliss :))
