7 Quick Takes (vol 1)

I'm inspired by the conversion diary blog and my wonderful friend Ann-Marie to start a brain dump if you will of ideas and thoughts that have been running through my head this week. I'm pretty sure this is what it is...it sounded like fun so I thought I would give it a shot.

1. I'm excited about having two babies so close together. After seeing the Mercer girls interact with Abby it made me excited to see how Abby and her sister Kinsley will be together. It wasn't my plan but God always knows better than my plan...

2. I LOVE making Abby's babyfood. I've been using the babycook and freezing her fresh veggies. She tried zuchinni today and loved it! I'm now searching for a good farmers market in the Dallas area...any ideas??

3. I've taken to scrapbooking again and other craft projects. I feel like I have my evenings back now that Abby goes down around 7 or 8 and I'm having a blast being creative. I need something for me.

4. I'm excited to do yard work this weekend. I'm actually motivated which is a first for me in that department. It will be fun to see what Chris and I can accomplish this weekend.

5. Sometimes I forget I'm pregnant...is that weird or normal? With Abby I would know exactly how far along I was and what kind of fruit or vegetable she was compared to in my womb. I did buy bedding for Kinsley's crib yesterday. Pink and green polka dots...I went with seperate pieces and saved about half of what I did by buying a set with Abby's nursery.

6. Last night I was up until 2 in the morning reading the coupon mom book Not a good book to read before you go to bed...I was all over the website looking up free deals and organizing my coupons. I think I will have to save that reading for early afternoon. Thanks to my mom for picking it up for me...she is so thoughtful!

7. I miss new shows on tv. Oh the summer...I guess a steady diet of the bachelorette on monday will have to suffice until fall programming starts up again. I've started keeping the radio on ksbj 94.9 during the day instead of watching tv. I know watching tv is a bad habit and something I need to work on...baby steps...maybe the summer of reruns will be good to help me kick my bad habit :)

That's all for today. Oh and I saw Bridesmaids tonight with Court. Ridiculously awkward and funny...we had a blast together...I love that we both live in Dallas. Chels come back soon!

For a good farmer's market - you can go to downtown farmer's market, but it's best to go early and buy direct from the farmers - I think they're open every day, but typically thurs-sat are the more busy days ... but like i said, you've gotta get there early! Also, another good option is looking for a Sprouts nearby. They have double-ad wednesdays where the current and previous weeks sale prices are honored - good bang for your buck and super fresh produce! I'm happy to take you to one sometime! OR you could look for a veggie co-op in your area, too! Alright, that's all of my thoughts for now - good luck!

Oh! And, if you're looking for something else to listen to during the day - try 910 AM from 11 AM - 1 PM ... they have great "family/parenting advice" programs. :)
