So we totally took advantage of the energy star tax free weekend sales...we replaced our old he front load washer with a new top load washer. If you haven't been to our house during a load of laundry...you are missing out! If you want to experience the take off and landing of a plane without going to the airport just stand outside of our laundry room. The drums in our washer were messed up (I'm sure Chris could give a much more detailed report but this is what you get from me :)) We called the repair guy with Whirlpool and he said it would cost $1100 to replace the parts and fix the washer!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?!? We had the washer for 2.5 years but because it was out of the year warranty whirlpool would do nothing about it. We aren't the only ones with this problem he said that many people were experiencing the same thing that the front load design was faulty and Whirpool has currently fixed the problem on new models but is doing nothing for the people who purchased a machine that is out of warranty. I know that we could have purchased a warranty but I also would like to buy from a company that stands behind their products and will do you right when their product fails in a short amount of time. I mean really, a $1300 washer failing in two and a half years...that is not right.
We decided to go with a top load he washer after a lot of research. As you can see I was amazed watching my first load of cloth diapers go through and Chris was engrossed in the owner manual. It was a good day in the Conger home. I can now watch a tv show without the feeling of being at an airport while doing a load of laundry :)

Fancy! I love that you can just sit there and watch it for entertainment purposes. I remember when your parents got theirs, and you Dad sat there watching it with a beer!
