Adding a navigation bar to your blog

So I searched all night for this and finally found it...there are two ways you can make a navigation bar in your blog.

Disclaimer: I am by no means a computer programmer or claim to know anything about it...I just searched forever for this info and thought I would save time for anyone who wants the same thing added to their blog. Good luck and make sure to save your blog under design, edit html, download full template before you start messing with html!

1. Go to Posting, edit pages and make new page that you want (ex: about me, contact, favorite posts, etc.) you can make up to 10.

2. Add your title (which will show up as the tab) and your content. Then publish and select Blog tabs.

3. Go to Design, Page Elements, and add a gadget. Choose Pages Gadget. Here you can customize the order of your tabs and put them under your header.

4. Here is the google how to on it...use this if you can't get your tabs to go under your header. It was really helpful. http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?answer=165955

5. If you have formatting issues like I did (because I have a different design than the normal eblogger) you can use this site and scroll down to the 1. Simple Navigation Bar part and read the instructions. It's a bit confusing at first but if you hit ctrl F on the screen you are looking at you can search for certain phrases that you are looking for in the code. http://tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com/search/label/NavBar
